For almost a thousand years, Utrecht’s most charming church has been shining at the courtyard with the same name, along the Catharijnesingel. Since 2015, the church is used for various events, from conferences to fashion shows, from product presentations to lectures.
The Geertekerk is owned by the Remonstrant Community of Utrecht. Every week the church hosts a Sunday service where the members of the church community come together. Everyone is welcome to attend these services.
The church is renowned for its fantastic acoustics and has always been a favorite venue for concerts because of it. Because the set-up of the church hall can be completely adjusted to the type of event being held, the church is the ideal location for special events, for groups up to 500 attendees.
After a thorough renovation in 2015, the church has two large foyers, perfect lighting and sound technology and a professional kitchen, optimally equipped to serve large groups. In addition to the church hall, the Geertekerk has four smaller rooms that can be used as breakout rooms for sub-sessions at conferences or as backstage areas for speakers or musicians.
Because of the free and open floor, the church hall can be tailor fit for your specific needs. The church hall is a fantastic space for conferences as well as for dinners with more than 100 people. The church hall can also be used for special happenings, such as a silent disco, fashion show, or an exposition.

The church can be easily reached on foot from Utrecht Central Station. The Springweg parking garage is also nearby. In addition, Utrecht offers more than 2.000 public parking spaces at several parking garages at walking distance. Because of the central location in the historic city center of Utrecht, the Geertekerk is easy to combine with a gathering at Huize Molenaar or Paushuize.
