“This house means so much more to me than all the others”
Paushuize is Utrecht’s most beautiful event location for conventions, seminars, and workshops. Even though the town palace is being used differently than the original owner, Pope Adrian, could have ever imagined, one thing is for sure: it is a place loved by many!
The province of Utrecht is the current owner of Paushuize and renovated the building in the most durable manner in 2011. Every last Sunday of the month, the province offers those interested the opportunity of a glimpse at the results of these efforts.
Entering the Paushuize is entering 500 years of Utrecht’s history.
The four Salons have been decorated with authentic furniture and artworks that, together, tell the story of Pope Adrian and other fascinating dignitaries who once resided at the Paushuize. These historic rooms can be utilized for a reception, drinks, or an evening-long dinner buffet.
The Balzaal and the Beelaerts van Bloklandzaal are the perfect spaces for kick-offs, lectures, or product presentations. Of course, these monumental rooms are also often used for culinary skills. Many guests have enjoyed a business lunch or celebratory dinner here.
Adjacent to the Balzaal is a large plateau, ideal for a drink on sunny days. It’s also perfect for a big summer’s night concert or for those memorable photos after the wedding ceremony.
The quiet attics with amazing views of the Domtoren are the perfect place for management meetings and strategy sessions.
The basements pine for well-attended drinks, large lunch buffets, and richly decorated tables. Traces from the past can be seen everywhere: glass cases with archeological finds, subterranean tunnels, and even a centuries-old well. With an extra-added bonus: from the jetty, you step right onto the boat for a tour of the canals of Utrecht.
Because of its wide variety of rooms and salons, Paushuize is the perfect location for larger gatherings from 50 to 450 people. The combination of the attractive, museological environment and the personal attention of our hosts makes Paushuize very suitable for special conferences, symposia, and trainings. Of course, you are also more than welcome for a special lunch or dinner. We would love to help you with the best possible setup!
Paushuize has its own parking spaces at its disposal; parking in front is available upon reservation. At a stone’s throw away is the Springweg parking garage and Utrecht Central Station is only a short walk. Utrecht also offers more than 2.000 public parking spaces at several parking garages at walking distance. From the Domplein bus stop, it is merely 100 meters to Paushuize.
